Transmission 01 // The Legend
In the summer of 1986, a cabinet appeared in exactly eleven arcades across three continents. No distributor. No serial number. Just a marquee that read STARRAIDERS and a joystick worn smooth by the first brave hands.
Players whispered that the attract mode whispered back. That Level 13 didn't exist until someone believed hard enough to find it. The cabinet vanished in 1989 — but the signal, as any true pilot knows, never really stopped.
This page keeps the flame lit. High scores. Lore. Fan art. And for those who have earned it… something else.
The Eleven Cabinets
No two cabinets were ever identical. Each arrived overnight, already plugged in, already humming. A joystick worn smooth by hands nobody remembered. A marquee whose letters glowed a little too warm. Eleven machines, eleven cities, zero answers.
The Red Falcon
There was no instruction card — only a single emblem stamped into the side panel: a falcon in flight, painted a red that matched no chart. Players called it the Red Falcon, and swore it watched them between quarters. Some say it flew at midnight. Some say it never stopped flying.
Level 13
The cabinet listed twelve levels. The scoreboard listed twelve. But the pilots who stayed late — the ones who learned to read the static in the attract mode — all told the same story: there was a thirteenth. It didn't exist until someone believed hard enough to find it.
The Disappearance
In the winter of 1989, all eleven cabinets vanished in a single night. No notice, no removal crews, no record. All that remained was a quarter lying heads-up on each floor — and the feeling, among the pilots, that the game was never really gone. Just waiting.

★ Members-Only Hangar ★
True pilots know the fan club meets somewhere quieter than this page. If you hold the membership passphrase, the hangar door will open. If you don't… keep flying. The signal rewards the patient.
FIELD HINT: the club mascot flies at midnight. Check the Hall of Fame — rank #2 knows the way.
